Often I'll start work on a game, and over time the style, the theme, or the entire point of it will morph until the original name is completely inappropriate. Changing the name mid-project is a pain, not least because the directory containing all of the project's files will need to change, and that's a big deal to the version control system. Leaving the name as it is annoys the obsessive-compulsive perfectionist in me, and since that's the part of me that does all the hard work, I prefer to keep it sweet.

So from now on, all new projects will be given a neutral, random code name. (And as a side benefit, will sound like British atomic weapon tests of the 1950s.)
